Stamp Organization

Finished OrganizersMy Stamp Dividers started looking a little worn out, so I decided to replace the taped-together card stock pieces with a sturdier material. So, naturally, I went to check out Jennifer McGuire’s Favorite Things series to get some ideas ☺.

I got these Heavy-duty plastic folders from Amazon and cut each folder into two 8 3/8 x 5 ¾ pieces, which will be for my Stamp Organization. I trimmed the pockets to about 7 7/8 x 5. That’s a little short and narrow for the stamps, but I use theses for another container where I organize scraps by color and type and newly purchased stamps I have yet to use before storing them with the rest. I keep this one on my desk for easy access. If I wanted to be really thrifty, I could use the thin strips with the three holes as page-reinforcements and I’m sure I could find a use for the other pieces (for some reason I can’t bring myself to throw them out 😜) After cutting, I created the labels on my P-Touch labeler using clear tape with black print (note: I just checked for the label maker on Amazon and –yikes–it was around $50. I got mine at Costco for about $20, so you might want to check there first if you’re looking to buy one). Here are some shots of the whole process:

Now, add some Labels

And, voilá, nicely organized Stamps with pretty dividers. After all this work, there is only one thing to do.
