I had been waiting for an opportunity to use the awesome Wavy Coloring Book Background stamp from My Favorite Things I’d bought for Christmas (among other things! lots.and.lots. of other things 🙂 ). I stamped it several times on watercolor paper and applied a variety of embossing powders; white, black, blue-ish/turquoise and silver. I ended up liking the silver best. I didn’t care much for the turquoise, I I haven’t colored the white embossed yet–that will be another post 🙂 think it was the (kind of cheap) embossing powder and the lines ended up a little gloppy (technical term) in some areas. To top it off, I wanted to try out my new Shimmer Paints and probably used too many colors. Let’s just say, I will keep this one as a reference of what not to do. 🙂 — better yet, let’s not mention that on at all, k?
I really like how the silver (or rather, platinum) embossing came out, especially after I used the blue/green color combination of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (303-Shadow Mauve, 036-Light Blue, 049-Green Shadow and 803-English Lavender)
And then, imagine my surprise when I got a You’ve Been Spotted notice from My Favorite Things–squeee!
