Well, technically, it’s Day 2, but I’m just now getting to my contribution for Day 1 ☺. This is for the Online Card Classes, Holiday Style Class: Clean & Simple Cards. I ended up using a lot of substitutions, since I didn’t have any of the supplies, but I think it came out really nice.
I used a Snowflake Stamp set from Hampton Art and applied the three stamps with Versamark ink, applied white and silver embossing powder and then heat set it. Then I wet the page and brushed on Shaded Lilac Distress Ink in layers, drying between each layer. I added a little water to a small amount of Perfect Pearls, picket it up with a brush and flicked it onto the paper.
I didn’t have a bottom corner die as shown in the class, so I improvised with a Paper Smooches Border Die. Then I stamped a few snowflakes on vellum and white embossed them. I cut them out (the set comes with a die for the bigger snowflakes–I just fussy-cut the little one) and tucked them behind the border piece once that was attached to the card. I masked off a small strip along the edge of the border and silver embossed it. The sentiment is from the Kelly’s falalalala set from Hero Arts. To finish it off, I added some white and one purple sequins.
Alrightie then, I’m ready for Day 3!
Here is a list of the supplies I used:
